When to have a roof inspected or evaluated is a common question we get in the roofing industry.
Most of our customers are very unsure as to when this needs to take place and what all it actually entails. Do you know?

A roof inspection is done for the purposes of real estate transactions and not necessarily what we will be discussing. A roof inspection is typically done by a property inspector and they will inspect the entire property as well as the roof.
They typically looks at things like fire safety, lead paint or asbestos use. A roof survey is a bit different in that it actually evaluate the condition of the roof in a very in-depth manner.
When surveying a roof, we will be looking at issues that affect the decking, membranes, flashing or drainage systems, and even the roof slope and more.
We will essentially be surveying and evaluating the condition of the roof and roof systems while we are there. Anything that could affect these systems could be the cause for a survey of the roof. We can see a variety of weather issues
